Why people protest in North Africa

Plenty of protesters have  mentioned education as one of the reasons for popular discontent in North Africa. Given that some of the revolts started with students, it is no surprise. But whose education are they talking about?

This nicely put together graph from UNESCO gives a picture of the relationship between poverty and education in Egypt. From this graph you can see how big the gap is in term of years of education by income group and location. University student have greater access to education and resources but they are not alone. Clearly the educational divide between the rich and the poor is quite large.
